GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

Goals

      a.     To address disparities, amenities and to propose and be part of the solution by actively participating in the efforts put in place to bring change in basic living conditions of vulnerable groups in the society in the socio-economic, health and educational aspects.

b.     To promote, ameliorate, facilitate and initiate social development programmes and projects that can bring adequate and desired changes that improve the basic living conditions of the targeted vulnerable people in the area of socio-economic, health and education.

c.      Assist and support especially vulnerable women, girl-child and children in their social endeavours.

Objectives

To attain the goals set above the Association SAIDMW non profit ngo will address the following objectives

      a.     To assist, initiate and source funding for programmes and projects that support the social

            development of the vulnerable target population in communities.

b.     Design, propose and support health-oriented programmes and projects that aim at addressing health problems such as the Human Immune Virus/Acquired Immunised Deficiency Syndrome (HIV/AIDS), Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs), childhood pregnancies and Family planning issues.

c.      Support and facilitate programmes, projects, initiatives and efforts that address problems affecting vulnerable children in terms of education and health.

d.     Encourage international and national cooperation between and among local and community based non-governmental organisations, business communities, international and national associations and foundations so as to facilitate the learning and exchange of expertise, experience and advice in related programmes and projects fields.

e.     Encourage both formal and informal learning skills and knowledge that will aid in the management of self-run projects and the reduction of illiteracy to reduce ignorance.

f.       Assist and support the vulnerable women and youth, who are heads of families, orphaned child headed households due to HIV/AIDS or war in their socio-economic development endeavours through revolving micro credit loans for starting micro projects.

g.     Encourage and support the development of recreational and sports centres for the children and the youth for the purposes of physical and mental health development
